To make a deposit from your mobile app, please follow the steps below.
1. Check your API Key Permissions
Go to Account > Permissions
On your mobile app, go to Account > Permissions. You should have the Wallets - “Transfer between your wallets” permission turned on, as shown in the image below:
If your key doesn't have this permission on, you can go to your API page and select “Create New Key” to create a new API key. Note that you will need to turn “Wallets” - “Transfer between your wallets” to “On”.

You can also edit the permissions to your current key by going to “My API Keys” and selecting the key you would like to have edited. You will need to turn “Wallets” - “Transfer between your wallets” to “On”. Once selected, remember to press “Update Permissions” and make the necessary security confirmations.
Note that the permission changes may take a few minutes to sync, please try closing the app and re-opening it for the settings to take effect.
2. Navigate to the Deposit
Go to Wallet > Deposit:
Select the Payment Type and Wallet where you want to deposit. (Read more about Bitfinex wallets), and Currency then hit Next. You will then be redirected to your address. Use the QR code or tap to copy the displayed address.
- Fiat deposits are currently not yet available on the mobile app, you will need to create a request via the website, for information please view Bank Wire Deposit.
- Deposits of Tether tokens also require your account to be at least intermediate verified.
- Deposits using Payment cards are done through third parties OWNR and Mercuryo and the options available depend on your verification level, please view Purchasing Cryptocurrencies through Payment Cards for more information.
