To increase trust amongst unknown parties and add transparency, all P2P users have a public profile which showcases some data about their current and past activity.
KYC information
The first thing you find is the avatar, near the avatar you will find a list of the KYC information provided to Bitfinex. This verification block does not provide the actual information, just the categories of information collected by Bitfinex used in the P2P profiles. For clarity, your display name is separately set by you and is not the same as your Bitfinex username (unless you choose to make your display name your Bitfinex username, which we do not recommend).
Trade Statistics
To ensure transparency in the Market Place, the trade metrics associated with P2P users are publicly shown:
-
Feedback:
After each successful trade, users can rate their experience with their counterparty with either an upvote or downvote. You can find how many positive and negative ratings the user has received on the profile. The percentage of positive ratings over the total ratings submitted is showcased in the top part. -
30-day and All-Time trades:
The number of successful trades and also failed trades for this user in the past 30 days and also for their entire time since it started using the P2P Market Place are displayed. Successful trades means all trades where the tokens were correctly released and the order settled, while Failed trades are all trades which were initiated but were settled without the tokens changing hands. The number of successful trades for each case is shown in the large font. -
Average Pay Time:
The average time (in minutes) it takes for this user to claim a payment was made, based on its entire trading history in the Market Place. Only successful trades are considered for this metric. This can serve as an indicator if you’re considering engaging with a Sell Ad. -
Trade Volume:
This is the equivalent value in U.S. dollar pegged Tether tokens (USDt) transacted throughout the entire trading history of the user in the P2P Market Place. This equivalent amount is calculated using the spot market price of the traded token against USDt at the time each trade was initiated. Only successful trades are considered for this metric.
How to report a user
It is possible to report a Profile by clicking the Report button next to the KYC information bar. This will launch a specific process with instructions regarding how to complete the report.
Ad Lists
The last information found on a public profile is the list of Ads owned by the User. These ads are separated into two tabs, Buying (in case you are looking to buy tokens from this user) or Selling (in case you are looking to sell tokens to this user).
