What is Zilliqa (ZIL)
Zilliqa (ZIL) is a new blockchain platform that is designed to scale in an open, permission-less distributed network securely. DApps built on the Zilliqa platform will benefit from high throughput of thousands of transactions per second, with the potential to rival the transaction time of centralised payment transaction systems. To scale the protocol to this level, Zilliqa employs a mechanism called “sharding”, whereby transaction throughput increases linearly with network size.
Note: Bitfinex no longer supports the depositing of ERC-20 ZILs.
