EOS (EOS) is software that introduces a blockchain architecture designed to enable vertical and horizontal scaling of decentralised applications. The EOS software provides accounts, authentication, databases, asynchronous communication and the scheduling of applications across multiple CPU cores and/or clusters.
The resulting technology is a blockchain architecture that has the potential to scale to millions of transactions per second, eliminate user fees and allow for quick and easy deployment of decentralised applications.
A breakdown of EOS transaction rules can be found here: 'EOS Deposits & Withdrawals'.
EOS MainNet Token Swap
Last updated 29/05/18
Bitfinex is pleased to announce full support for the upcoming EOS MainNet Token Swap. As EOS transitions from Ethereum to its MainNet chainWe will manage all technical requirements related to the swap to ensure a smooth token registration process for all users storing EOS on Bitfinex.
- EOS ERC20 tokens will be frozen by Block.one June 2nd, 22.00 UTC, and Bitfinex will freeze deposits and withdrawals 30 minutes before this (21.30 UTC).
- EOS withdrawals will be enabled once the new network is deemed stable.
- Margin positions are unaffected as it's only the transport layer which is changing, meaning you will still receive EOS tokens if you have an open margin position.
