What is Aptos (APT)
Aptos (APT) is the native token of the Aptos blockchain, a project focused on delivering a safe and scalable Layer 1 blockchain.
The Aptos blockchain consists of validator nodes that run a consensus protocol that agrees on ordering transactions and their output when executed on the Move Virtual Machine (Move VM). Move is a programming language for Web3 with an emphasis on scarcity and access control.
Aptos Deposits and Wallet Activation
Please note that APT address generation on Bitfinex is inactive by default and activation is required by paying an activation fee. To do so, users need to first send at least 0 (zero) APT coins from their web wallet to the generated Bitfinex APT deposit address and this will pay the activation fee. The web wallet recommended by Aptos team is the Petra Wallet.
Important: The activation fee will vary depending on network conditions, Bitfinex does not charge fees for cryptocurrency deposits.
