EOS was listed on Bitfinex July 1st 2018, introduced as a high performance, fast and scalable Dapp development platform.
EOS has the potential to scale millions of transactions per second and a unique ability to help reduce, and even eliminate, fees paid by the users. Its ecosystem allows for vertical and horizontal scaling and a quick and easy deployment process for decentralized applications.
Bitfinex supports the EOS Mainnet transition from the Ethereum blockchain by managing all technical requirements to ensure a straightforward token registration process for all users currently holding EOS on the platform. The first snapshot of EOS net balances is expected to be taken on the 13th of June, and it will confirmed as soon as the new network is activated. From then, weekly snapshots will follow.
Users will be able to take advantage of margin and lending features on Bitfinex whilst still preserving their ability to vote.
Deposits and withdrawals were disabled at 16:00 UTC on the June 2, 2018. They will be re-enabled 3 days following network activation, estimated to be around Saturday June 16th, 2018.
