When offering Funding on Bitfinex, you will receive interest depending on the amount, rate and time your funds are offered for. Funding fees of either 15% or 18% (depending on the order type) will also be deducted from the earnings.
How are my interest earnings calculated
Daily interest-earning can be calculated using the following formula:
amount * rate% * (seconds / seconds in a day) * (1 - fee%)
Example: If you have an active 10,000 USD offer at 0.06%, you will earn 6.00 USD per day (before deducting fees). On that 6.00 USD, a 15% *fee is charged (0.90 USD) by Bitfinex making your final earning 5.10 USD for that offer.
How are the fees for funding calculated
Funding fees are either 15.0% of the margin funding order or 18.0% if the funding offer was placed using the hidden order option. You can view the details on our Fees page.
