The following Funding-related terms are used across the Bitfinex platform.
Flash Return Rate (FRR)
The Flash Return Rate (FRR) is a special rate used to calculate interest in the Bitfinex peer-to-peer lending platform. This rate is based on the average of all active fixed-rate fundings in the Funding order book weighted by their amount. This rate represents a hypothetical return and is not a guaranteed result. Actual returns will vary. If you choose to lend using the FRR, your rate will be updated hourly during the duration of your loan based on market conditions. Read more here.
FRR APR
FRR APR is the annualised view of the Flash Return Rate.
Note: Since FRR updates hourly, the displayed FRR APR may change depending on market conditions.
FRR Delta
FRR Delta is a funding rate option that lets you set an offset from the current Flash Return Rate (FRR).
FRR Delta Variable
FRR Delta Variable lets you set a funding rate with an offset from the current FRR. The rate you lend at will be equal to the Flash Return Rate (FRR) plus or minus the amount you decide. This lets you set your lending rate at a premium or a discount to the market rate. Your rate will be updated hourly throughout your loan based on market conditions. Learn more here.
FRR Delta Fixed
FRR Delta Fixed lets you set a funding rate with an offset from the current FRR. The calculated rate you lend at will be equal to the Flash Return Rate (FRR) plus or minus the amount you decide. The rate you make your offer at will update hourly with the FRR before your lending offer is matched. Once matched, your lending rate becomes fixed and no longer updates with FRR. Learn more here.
Auto-renew
Auto-renew automatically creates and routes new funding offers using available funds in your Funding Wallet based on your auto-renew settings. It can help keep funds available in the funding market without you manually creating a new offer each time funds are returned. Learn more here.
Hidden offer
A Hidden order option means your order does not appear in the order book, therefore it does not influence other market participants. Higher fees apply for hidden offers. Learn more about our fees.
