What is Shardeum (SHM)

The SHM token is the native utility token of Shardeum, an EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain designed for linear scalability through dynamic state sharding. SHM token is used to pay for transaction and gas fees, enables staking for validators to secure the network, and grants governance rights to holders, allowing them to participate in protocol decisions. Additionally, SHM functions as a reward mechanism, incentivizing validators and community contributors through airdrops and ecosystem programs.
