— Why has my deposit not been credited immediately?
When you make a deposit to Bitfinex from a third-party platform, it usually goes through the following three steps:
1. To make a withdrawal from the third-party platform, after which the transaction will be broadcasted onto the blockchain;
2. To acquire the required number of blockchain confirmations;
3. To credit the funds to your account once the necessary amount of confirmations have been met.
While your withdrawal may show as Confirmed or Successful on the third-party platform, it will need to reach a number of confirmations to be credited to your Bitfinex account.
Note: For lesser confirmations, we advise you to verify your account to the intermediate level or above.
— What does the “unconfirmed” deposit status mean?
If you receive a status message of Unconfirmed on your deposit and continue to see 0 confirmations after a prolonged period of time, then the most likely explanation is that a low transaction fee was included with the transfer.
You can use the relevant block explorer for your cryptocurrency to monitor its status and confirmations.
— What should I do if my deposit is stuck in “unconfirmed”?
When you set a lower transaction fee than expected, the transaction may be selected by the mining network at some point, or it will eventually be returned to the sender.
In such cases, we advise you to contact the sending wallet for assistance.
Important: When sending a cryptocurrency, always attach the recommended transaction fee to increase the priority of your transaction by the mining network and avoid unnecessary delays.
