What is a Proof of Payment at Bitfinex

A Proof of Payment is a receipt (or payslip) from your bank which clearly displays the following required information:

1. The remitter details:

    • Your full name;
    • Your account number;
    • Your bank’s name.

2. The beneficiary details:

    • Our bank name;
    • Our account number.

3. The payment details:

    • Date: when the transfer was initiated;
    • Amount: the size of deposit;
    • Currency: the currency of the funds transferred.

The above information will be required to finalise a fiat deposit to Bitfinex. It’s required that all the information listed above are present and readable and can be in the form of either:

  • a scan;
  • a PDF file;
  • or a screenshot from your online bank.

Alternatively, if your transaction was done through a domestic bank transfer, you can provide a bank receipt. And if your transaction was done through an international bank transfer, you can also provide a SWIFT MT103 document.
