What is the Bitfinex Affiliate Program, and how does it work?
The Bitfinex Affiliate Program is a commission-based system that allows you to earn fees up to three levels of connection within the network that shares your referral codes.
Every time your referrals trade or perform certain actions on the platform, you will receive a percentage on the fees generated by their activities.
Do I have to be a Bitfinex client to participate?
Yes. Everyone can join the Bitfinex Affiliate Program. The only pre-requisite is to have a Bitfinex account. If you don’t have an account yet, it only takes a few minutes to create one.
Who is an Affiliate?
Each Bitfinex client that generates referral codes and introduces new clients (Members).
Who is a Member?
Anyone who opens a Bitfinex account using a referral code provided by an Affiliate. A Member can become in turn an Affiliate and build their network.
Where can I get my referral codes, and how many times can I reuse the same code?
As an Affiliate, once you have logged into your account, you will be able to generate your referral codes from the Affiliate Dashboard.
You can then generate and share the codes within your social networks. Anyone who signs up using one of your codes will become a Member of your network. The more your network grows, the more revenues you can earn.
You can share your codes as many times as you like. To help you keep track of the codes' performance, you can also mark them with a label.
With whom can I share my referrals codes? Are there any restrictions?
You can share your codes within your social networks to as many people as you like.
Yet you must not, directly or indirectly, allow any of the following Accounts to be one of your Members:
- an Account owned or controlled by you or a member of your immediate family or household,
- an Account owned or controlled by a person who is already a user of Bitfinex.
Additionally, any persons prohibited from using our platform, those residing in the restricted jurisdictions.
What are my expected earnings as an Affiliate?
Bitfinex Affiliates can earn up to 3 degrees of connection within their network trading and margin funding activities. The fees reward follows the schema below:
- 1st degree (direct) Member connections: 18%
- 2nd degree Member connections: 6%
- 3rd degree Member connections: 2%
Additionally, an Affiliate can be eligible to fee multipliers if the following conditions are satisfied.
- If your account is KYC verified you will get a 1.2x multiplier
- If one of your members has a KYC verified account you will get a 1.2x multiplier that applies to the fees generated by that specific account
UNUS SED LEO token holders
If one of your members, over the past 30 days, had an average holding of UNUS SED LEO tokens greater than 500 USDt LEO equivalent, you will be eligible for an additional multiplier on his activities as follows:
- 500+ USDt LEO equivalent - a 1.1x multiplier
- 5,000+ USDt LEO equivalent - a 1.2x multiplier
- 50,000+ USDt LEO equivalent - a 1.5x multiplier
Social Media activities
Affiliates will get an additional multiplier if they or their network members share or like Bitfinex official social media posts.
This multiplier is valid for 36 hours from the last social media activity interaction (a like, or share), and is only applicable to recent Bitfinex activities (previous 7 days):
- 1.1x if you have more than 1,000 followers
- 1.2x if you have more than 10,000 followers
If members of your network also social share, you can get rewarded following the scheme explained above getting an additional 1.1x or 1.2x on revenues generated by their activities.

Are my Affiliate commissions ongoing?
The percentage of the fees you receive for each Member of your network will start at 18% (6% or 2% based on its connection degree) and will reduce every second in a straight-line fashion so that at the end of each thirty days, it is reduced by 0.5%.
Do Members get any rewards or rebates?
Yes. If you are a Member, Bitfinex will credit your account with a set percentage of the trading and margin funding fees earned from your account.
The Member rebate will start at 6% and will reduce every second in a straight-line fashion so that at the end of each thirty days, it is reduced by 0.5%.
If I sign up with a referral code, which information can the Affiliate see about my account?
We value your privacy. Members are displayed in the Affiliate Dashboard only with a random nickname.

How will I receive my payments, and where can I see them?
As an Affiliate, you can see all your earnings in the Affiliate Dashboard and the Reports section of your account.
You will receive your Affiliate Payments (or Member Rebates) in the same digital tokens that Bitfinex collected as the applicable fees on which the payments are based, except for:
- UNUS SED LEO tokens
- Any Digital Tokens that Bitfinex determines should be converted - if you do not have a verified account or are not eligible to receive so.
Where the fees were taken in Fiat currencies, UNUS SED LEO, or restricted tokens, they will be exchanged to Bitcoin (BTC) or Tether (USDt).
Please note: your Affiliate payments and Member rebates may be composed of several digital tokens. For further information on your revenues, please refer to our Affiliate Terms of Service.
What if I see that there is a mistake on the rebate I receive?
You must notify Bitfinex of any disagreement regarding any Affiliate Payment within thirty days of receipt of the applicable Affiliate Payment.
