Individuals with Salvadorean nationality living in El Salvador can opt to verify in El Salvador Securities with a Basic Plus verification level or greater. The maximum securities Balance is 10.000 USD or equivalent, if you reach this limit you will be notified and requested to complete the full verification.
Important: This is an exception only available to the group mentioned above, otherwise you need a Full verified master account from non-prohibited jurisdictions. How to create an El Salvador Securities account with express onboarding on Bitfinex
1. Firstly, you need to sign up to Bitfinex to create the Master account.
Specify the country of residence as El Salvador, this needs to match your DUI card information.
2. Create your Bitfinex master account and follow the security steps.
3. Accept terms and conditions.
4. Complete the Basic Plus verification.
You will need to use your smartphone to scan and input:
Official El Salvador photo ID
Biometric photo
Residence address proof (image or .pdf file of a service invoice like power service, cellphone, etc), and
Phone number
Expect to receive your verification approval by mail.
5. Once you have been approved as a Basic Plus individual, click on the Securities “Verify” button and select El Salvador radio button.
Fill out the self-certification form. For this step, you need to input your TAX ID number (NIT). Submit the form and expect an email from our compliance department when approved.
6. Fund your Exchange or Capital Raise wallet depending on how you wish to participate.
