What Bitfinex features can US residents access?
Unfortunately, Bitfinex has decided to stop serving US individual customers altogether. No trading or funding services are available to these users.
I am traveling in the United States - am I blocked?
The restrictions only apply to individuals whose primary residence is in the United States.
Are corporate accounts also blocked?
No - the restriction affects individual accounts only. Users are still welcome to create a new account and complete the corporate verification process.
I am a US resident with an Individual (not corporate) account. Will my funds be frozen?
We will not seize your funds, but you may no longer use our services. Please wind down trading and funding and withdraw your funds as quickly as reasonably possible. Note, however, that if funds remain on the platform for an extended period of time, they will be treated as abandoned property according to the Bitfinex Terms of Service. We will work with all users to make sure they get their funds off Bitfinex in a smooth and simple manner.
There is a 5 day withdrawal hold on my account - what should I do?
Do not worry if your withdrawals are currently on hold - you will still be able to exchange and withdraw all your funds when your withdrawal hold has been lifted. We will work closely with all US individuals to make sure the transition is pain free for everyone, and you will of course be able to withdraw your funds following the hold.

My account is verified with a US address but I have since then left the US. What can I do to no longer be marked as a US customer?
To change your verified address from US to non-US, first upload a new proof of residence document on the verification section on your profile. When this has been uploaded, contact Bitfinex Support, using www.bitfinex.com/support to explain the situation, including [Request To Change Residency] as the subject line.
