For selected security tokens on primary markets, Bitfinex Securities offers a Creation/Redemption feature. This allows members to request directly to the issuer to create, increase or reduce exposure to the token, mitigating potential volatility in the secondary market. Settlements vary by case, with details provided on the product information page.
How to create tokens
1. On capital.bitfinex.com or www.bitfinex.com/securities, select the available capital raise with the feature.
2. Go to the product capital raise page and select an active listing, then click on Purchase.
3. Input the amount of tokens to purchase.
4. Click on Purchase to complete the transaction.
How to redeem tokens
1. Select the token you would like to redeem.
2. Enter the quantity and select the token or fiat currency you would like to receive your redemption in.
3. Click on Redeem to confirm the exchange.
4. Your redemption will be credited to your Bitfinex Securities capital raise wallet.
How to review transactions
1. You may review the resulting transactions within the token ledger. In the Balances section, select the desired token.
2. Then select the Ledger Entries button.
3. Here you will see the ledger details for the chosen token.
Note: As of 17th March 2025, creations and redemptions fees will not be charged. This may be updated in the future.
